DRIVERS
1.- How old do I have to be to rent a car with your company?
The minimum age is 21 years old.

2.- Is it possible for me to pay with my credit card but have someone else be the driver?
Yes, you can provide the credit card while your spouse or friends can be the drivers.

3.- Are there any surcharges for underage drivers?
No, there are no extra charges for drivers who are under 25 years old.

4.- I don´t have an international driver´s licence. Can I rent a car using a license issued in my country?
International driving licences are not required with us. We accept any driving licence from any country, as long as it has not expired.

5.- How many additional drivers can I have?
Each rental contract is allowed two additional drivers. Their full names, license numbers, issue and expiration dates, country and signature must be stipulated on the rental contract from the first day.

6.- What is the charge for additional drivers?
Each rental contract is allowed two additional drivers without extra cost.

7.- Do I need to show my passport at the moment of pick-up?
Not necessarily, any offical ID with picture and signature is sufficient.

PAYMENT METHODS

1.- When and how do I pay for my reservation and rental?
When you are here physicaly, fill out your paperwork and have your vehicle, you pay for your rental.

2.- What are the payment methods that you accept?
You may pay the rental with pesos, dollars, euros, credit or debit card and traveler's checks. Regardless of the payment method, all transactions, are converted to pesos.

3.- Are there any extra charges on top of the rate in my reservation I should be aware of?
Your total quote on your reservation is what you pay. However, if you change the amount of days or type of vehicle, you will be charged the new quote.

4.- What are the guarantee deposits that are required?
The guarantee deposit, is a hold, not a charge, on your credit card. The amounts will vary depending on the category of the vehcile, and are as follows:

* Mini Economy, Economy and Compact: 600.00 USD  
* Mid Size, Economy SUV: 700.00 USD  
* Full Size, Jeep Wrangler, SUV's: 800.00 USD  
* Minivans and Full Size Vans: 1,000.00 USD  

5.- Do I have to provide my credit card numbers in order to make a reservation?
No, you only specify if it is an AMEX, MC or VISA card.

MILEAGE, DRIVING AREAS AND GASOLINE

1.- What about driving restrictions and mileage?
There are no driving restrictions and mileage is unlimited.

2.- Can I drive your vehicles in Belize, Honduras or Guatemala?
Yes, we furnish the necessary documentation for you to drive our vehicles in Belize, Honduras and Guatemala, at no extra charge. However if you plan to drive in Guatemla, you must enter through Belize.

If you enter Guatemala via México you will be required to have a notarized affidavit, which costs 150 USD and required a few days to process. Some clients decide to pay, others do not. That decision entirely up to you.

3.- Do the vehicles run with diesel or gasoline? If gasoline, what type of gasoline? How much is gas in Mexico?
All of our vehicles run with unleaded gasoline. In Mexico all gas stations belong to the same government company. Gasoline prices are the same in the whole country. You can always input the cheapest kind of gasoline which is the green one called “Magna”. Gasoline price is in pesos and the measure is liters, but the equivalent is currently about 2.50 usd per gallon.

4.-Can I pay at gas stations using my credit card?
You usually can´t. Some gas stations do accept credit cards, but most of the don´t, so it´s always better to ask first or use cash.

5.- Can I pay for gas using US cash or Euros?
US Dollars are accepted almost everywhere, not only in gas stations. Euros could be accepted but the most common foreign currency is USD. The best way to pay though, is with Mexican pesos, which you can get at any exchange house, ATM or bank.

PICK UP AND DROP-OFF: LOCATIONS AND FEES

1.- I´m arriving by air. How do I find you at the airport? How do I get to your office?
We do not have rental booths or telephones inside the airport. After you pickup you luggage, clear customs and security, just walk out the main exit. Outside, you will identify our representative with a sign, with our company's logo and your name, in large black letters. Once you make contact with him, he will drive you to our office, a few minutes from the airport, where you will fill out your paperwork and pick up your vehicle.

2.- Are there any airport taxes or fees I must pay upon arrival?
No, all taxes and fees are included in your total quote on your reservation.

3.- I´m not arriving by air. Do you have other offices?
Yes, we have offices in Downtown Cancun, The Hotel Zone in Cancun, in Playa del Carmen (this office handels all the Riviera Maya, including Akumal and Tulum). Click here to see office locations and addresses.

4.- I´d like to pick up my car at Cancun Airport, and return it in Playa del Carmen or Tulum. Is there an extra charge for this?
Only on one day rentals, if you pick up in Cancun and drop off in Playa del Carmen or visa versa, there is a 20 USD charge, if in the Akumal or Tulum area, the charge is 30 USD.

5.- Can I pick up or return my car at my hotel?
No, we do not deliver vehicles anywhere. We pick you up at your hotel and drive you to our nearest office, where you will fill out your paperwork and pick up your vehicle. The return is the same, you dirve the vehicle to the same office, close your contract and we will drive you to where ever you need to be.

6.- I´d like to return my car in another city. What is the charge for this?
It depends on the distance between Cancun and the city. First a time and meeting point is established. Then a quote for that service.

7.- Im staying at a hotel in the hotel zone, I do not want to go all the way in to town to rent.
You can go directly to the Gran Caribe Real hotel or The Royal hotel in the hotel zone to rent you car. Our lobby locations are open from 8am to 7pm, every day.

INSURANCE

1.- What are the minimum insurance requirements?
As a minimum, you must have Liability Insurance (PLI), this insurance is already included in your quote on our website, regardless of you choosing other additional options.

2.- What does PLI stand for?
It stands for Primary Liability Insurance and it covers damages or injuries you could cause to other persons or thier properties and legal assistance. It covers up to 80,000 USD. This insurance is already included in your quote.

3.- What does CDW stand for?
Also known as LDW in other companies, it stands for Collision Damage Waiver, which is an insurance that covers theft and damages to the rented vehicle. There is a deductible fee that applies in case of accident or theft, in the following amounts, according to the type of vehicle you are renting.

CDW is an optional insurance you can select in the appropriate checkbox when selecting your vehicle.

* Mini Economy, Economy and Compact: 1,500.00 USD  
* Mid Size, Economy SUV: 1,700.00 USD  
* Full Size, Jeep Wrangler, SUV's: 2,000.00 USD  
* Minivans and Full Size Vans: 3,500.00 USD  

4.- What does EPC stand for?
It stands for Extended Protection Coverage. This insurance covers the rented vehicle for damage or theft, with zero deductible.

EPC is an optional insurance you can select in the appropriate checkbox when selecting your vehicle.

5.- What is the difference between CDW and EPC?
CDW has a deductible fee and EPC is an extension of CDW that converts it to zero deductible.

6.- What does PAI stand for?
PAI stands for Personal Accident Insurance, which covers injuries to the passengers of the rented vehicle, up to 30,000 USD per accident. It includes: ambulance service, hospital and medical expenses.

6.- I would like to be fully covered, which insurance should I get then?
You must select every checkbox, in the insurance section, of the reservation format. This way, the vehicle is fully covered. Third party damages or injuries, legal assistance and medical service expenses for the passengers, are included.

NOTE: Our insurance has coverage only in México.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICIES

1.- How much time in advance am I allowed to cancel my reservation?
You can cancel your reservation at any time but, we would appreciate if you could give us at least two days notice before your arrival date.

2.- What if I need to return the car before the dropoff date?
If you need to return the vehicle early, call as soon you can, so we can have your paperwork ready, and at the right place.
The unused portion of your rental contract will be credited to your credit card account, minus insurance fees and taxes, that were paid to third entities from the first day of your contract.
